An anonymous European billionaire has commissioned Swiss watchmaker Vacheron Constantin to create a one-of-a-kind timepiece that will run the buyer $6.5 million, making it the world’s most expensive new watch. According to Affluent Page, the watch, which could take years to complete, is expected to include the following:
* Perpetual calendar and leap year
* Star chart and celestial annual calendar
* Tourbillon regulator
* Sunrise and sunset indication
* Perpetual time equation
* Phases and age of the moon
* Substantial power reserve
* Multiple time zones and day-night indication

The $6.5 million watch is a big step up for Vacheron Constantin, which produced seven limited edition double-faced Tour de l’Ile watches back in 2005, the watchmakers most expensive timepieces to date
