Period pieces

A collection of works by the 20th century’s most iconic pop artists is now display at Anonymous Gallery in Manhattan. The exhibit features a slew of rare pieces and sketchbook drawings by artists such as Robert Indiana and Keith Haring, as well as game-changers like Jean-Michel Basquiat and Andy Warhol (whose Unique Electric Chair, a limited 1978 screen print, is pictured above). Titled Piece Process, the expo aims to showcase three generations of artists whose work has influenced design “and the urban environment”; consider it a display of branding and packaging (if, of course, slightly more high-minded).
